Monday and night 1

I was awoken by Austin at 7:00 sharp this morning! That is pretty early for him. He did so well for his first night. Kinley was up early at 7:30. What is going on with my kids?! They both usually sleep at least until 8:30!! I made their blueberry waffles and they had breakfast before 8:00. I think it will definitely make school days much easier if we are all up around 7:30. Maybe I can even get them in bed earlier??!! :-)

Last night was night #1 of Austin's 'sleep training'. Doc and I were both on board. *I* am the one who wakes with the kids and deals with all of that anyway. Doc works and wakes up early, so I always have been the one to deal with the kids during the night. Fine with me!

I set the timer for 1 hour at 7:30pm and Austin had one hour to play on the Ipad. When the timer buzzed, it was time to go get in bed and read books. It buzzed, he handed over the Ipad and we went to bed. I read two long books and told him goodnight. He got up a total of 4 times before 9:00pm. He finally fell asleep around 9:15. He woke up at 12:38am and was crying at our door. I had the door locked, otherwise he would just come on in and crawl in bed. I took him back to his bed. He woke up at 2:30am, I took him back to his bed. Then, he finally woke up at 7:00am! I'm the one that was up all night. I had such a hard time sleeping!

I think it is finally going to work. Night one was such a success. It will only get easier from here. I just have to stick to it and we will all be happier!

We did a little Valentine's craft this morning. I had some colored foam sticker hearts, some heart stamps and they colored. Just a little something for me to hang up on the play room bulletin board.

After lunch we went to Super Target to pick up Doc's prescriptions. I didn't put either child in a stroller or a shopping cart. They were pretty good I must say. ;-)

I told Austin as we were leaving the store, grab sisters hand and walk with her.

Today was a pretty eventful day at Doc's office. He sent me a picture of two huge firetrucks, two EMS vehicles, and police car. I didn't know what had happened. I emailed him back and asked what was going on? He replied, the guy we hired 5 months ago to help fix equipment in the shop had a heart attack and died. Please say a prayer for his family. He was only 55 or so years old. It really makes you think about 'life' and how short it really is.
