sleep and girls bible study

It is Tuesday; school day! Guess who decided to sleep in after waking up so early the past few days? That's right, Miss Kinley! I can just see the future now. Having to go in and wake her up for school every single morning. I must say, the girl loves her sleep!!

I went in her room ten minutes before we had to walk out the door and turned on her bright fan lights and this is what I saw. Her sound asleep in bed.

It only took her a minute to pop up after I said, "Kinley good morning, it's time to wake up!" She popped right up with a big smile on her face. She's always so happy in the mornings.

Today was a half day for Austin at school. Kinley and I had to rush around and get our grocery shopping and errands done before we had to pick up Austin at noon.

I went to Target in search of a Clifford dog for Austin. I always browse through the baby section at Target. Never know what is on clearance that I might need. :-) Today, we hit the jackpot. I found my sister's Chicco travel system and Chicco pack n' play on clearance for half price!! I was so excited when I found it. If you are in need of any baby stuff - go to Target, tons on clearance and on sale. This week is the 'baby sale' at Target! ;-) I'm not so sure it's a good thing that we live a mile away from a brand new Super Target.

I found the big Clifford dog that Austin has been wanting like forever! His school office has a Clifford dog just like this one that he 'borrows' every day at school for nap time and just to have during the day. I wanted to find him something extra special since he has done so well at night with his 'sleep training'.

Last night I put him to bed at 8:30, and didn't go to bed until around 10:30. He did get up a few times, I just kept putting him back in bed. After he finally went to sleep, he only woke up once at 4:30am and I took him back to bed. He woke up for good at 7:00am. I'm so proud of him!! It's getting so much easier too. He knows when it's 8:30pm and I say, "time for bed" he goes right to bed. I know he likes the routine. It's me that is having trouble sleeping at night. I think I'm going to get a monitor for his room so I can at least 'hear' him if I need too. I'm so crazy! He's my baby though. ;-)

I started another bible study with my girl friends at the beginning of January. We are doing, Timothy Keller's, The Meaning of Marriage. I am LOVING it. I'm so blessed that my great friend Pati invited me to do this study and the last study with her and her friends.

The book is great! I even ordered Doc a copy and we are reading the same book and talking about it. I think it will help to strengthen our marriage and make it even better. Who doesn't struggle with marriage? If you want to strengthen your marriage, get it!!

Tonight, I hosted our group at my house. I'm so blessed to be doing the study with these ladies every Tuesday night. We even are planning a couple of fun nights out soon. I'm looking so forward to it. It's wonderful to have an awesome support group to discuss marital issues, learn the bible and have female adult interaction.

I hope that you all are having a wonderful week!! I think tomorrow is going to be a day at home. If it is anything like today, we will be out on the sidewalks riding bikes and walking. Austin LOVES his new bike. I do too, I can actually get a ton of exercise. He rides fast!! :-)
