We had a lazy day at home - it's Monday! I had a huge long list to complete today with everything that had to be cleaned. Fun, I know! But, it needed to be done and boy do I feel good that almost everything was done. My house smells like a smoke bomb though after cleaning the oven.
While I was in the family room with Austin look what Miss Kinley was up to. Ordering her daddy's Valentine's Day present! Thank goodness for Amazon prime. I waited until the very last hour to get it ordered and overnighted. Doc was early and gave me a James Avery ring that has 'Faith, Family, Friends' on it. I love it. The three things that mean the most in life. He's always so thoughtful. He always gets the kids something too. He gave them each a little box of chocolates and brought his little Valentine a cute Minnie Mouse.
I was a *little* creative this year and decided to make some cute Valentine cards for Austin to take to school to pass out to his classmates. I found this on Pinterest. It's just Pop Rocks and a little card that says, "Valentine, you ROCK!"
We went to check the mail and what do you know... there was another surprise Valentine for the kids. They were so excited when I told them there was a Valentine present for them to open.
Austin is absolutely in love with Clifford, he was so excited when he saw the Clifford books.
He told me, "Mom, look it's an octopus card!" ;-) The books are perfect Aunt Connie, they LOVE reading books. How perfect that they arrived the day before Valentine's Day. The one book is about the night before Valentine's Day. We are going to read them tonight. So much fun!!
A video thank-you from Austin & Kinley
The kids and I picked up our heart pizza for dinner tonight. This has been a Valentine's Day tradition since we moved to Austin 5 years ago. Geez, it's amazing that next month will be 5 years!!
Tomorrow night I have some steaks to grill. It's going to be 75* so, what is more perfect than grilling? I'm excited. For the weather AND steaks. :-) I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your loved ones. It's such a fun day to let everyone that you love, know it.
OK... I'm watching The Bachelor... night!
