full weekend

I can't believe that it's already Sunday evening. Gosh the weekends pass so quickly. Saturday I was busy running to Super Target buying a cart full of groceries for the week and then took Austin with me to Kohl's to shop for summer clothes for Kinley. Only because I had a 30% off coupon. ;-)

We were lazy today. Well, let me rephrase that. THEY were all lazy today. Just the boys. They both passed out in the chair so Kinley and I let them nap and went to Walmart to pick up some new creams, ointments, and meds that were all expired in our medicine cabinet. We let them have some peace and quiet and get a little morning snooze in.

We didn't make it to church today and I feel bad that we have missed the past couple of weeks, but we will for sure make it there next Sunday. Austin even asked if we were going to church. We were just running late after having a late breakfast and didn't make it. I do have a perfectly good excuse, I MOPPED my kitchen floors. Seriously. It hasn't been done in FOREVER. Forever. I vacuumed, did all of the laundry, washed the kitchen rugs, dishes, gave a hair cut, clipped kids nails, cooked two meals... I was productive today. That still is not a good excuse. I enjoy going to church, it starts my week off right.

Austin was begging his daddy to put the train tracks together today. So they spent the afternoon building a huge track. Kinley loves holding the remotes and playing trains with Austin too.

Look at what we have living in our family room until Kinley decides to destroy it.

Doc took Austin outside to ride his bike and Kinley took a super late (only) nap so I was able to cook dinner all by myself. With no one screaming at my feet and toys being thrown all over the kitchen floor. It was so nice. I love to cook.

I made some salads, panko crusted chicken, pasta with vodka sauce, and garlic bread. It was so good. My kids ate dinner. That means I did good! ;-) I know what I will be having for lunch tomorrow.

I rented three movies while out today so we had an early dinner and watched movies. I rented the kids, Smurfs so we watched it first before putting them to bed. If you guys haven't seen it, GO rent it. It is so good!! I loved it. It kept my complete attention, and I usually can't sit still through a whole movie. ;-) Kinley and Austin both sat on the couch and watched the whole movie.
