fun days with Nana

Why does the time always go by so quickly? Ugh. I loved having Nana here with us. The kids did too. Austin on the way home from the airport this afternoon said, "I want Nana here." He already misses her. I hate living so far from family. Absolutely HATE it. I would give anything to have family near.

Tuesday was school for Austin, so us girls dropped him off and went to spend the day shopping and lunch at Panera Bread. We arrived early to pick up Austin, so we just relaxed in the car until it was time to get him. Kinley was sound asleep and Nana was relaxing too. ;-)

My mom is always so amazing and watches the kids for us while Doc and I get some alone time. We went out a couple of times while she was here. Since we won't have the opportunity to spend Valentine's Day alone, we wanted to go enjoy dinner. We had all of these plans to go have a fancy dinner and we ended up at Texican Cafe! :-) It was our first time, and I must say it was AWESOME! Very good food and fun little place. Just to enjoy a dinner alone was great!

Today was our last day with Nana before she flew home this afternoon. I had an 8am dentist appointment for a cleaning so, I was out of the house early! I had my teeth cleaned and went by Target for a few things.

My mom is wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better grandmother for my kids. She bathes them, dresses them, feeds them, babysits, puts them down for naps and bed, she DOES IT ALL! I must say, it was so nice for me!!! I love it when she comes to visit, I see how calm she is, how she still gets it all done, and how well the kids listen. It is a refresher for me. She was the best mom, I wish I could be half as wonderful of a mom as she was. Thank you for all you do mom! Can you please come once a month!!?? :-)

We went to enjoy some awesome sushi for lunch today. I wanted to be sure and go before she left. We had this huge lunch platter with 4 or 5 different types of sushi, soup, and fried rice. It was so dang good!! I'm already craving it again.

The kids were so good! Austin is always a breeze to go out to eat with, finally!

Nana and her babies! They are going to miss her so much.

Mom, thank you for coming to visit and giving me the much needed break I needed. Thanks for doing so much for the kids and giving Doc and I dates nights out. We love you so much.


Tomorrow is at least a school day! :-) Hope your week is going well.

Are you still watching The Bachelor? I can't stand Courtney. I think she is just in it for a 'game' to see if she can 'win'. I love Casey B. I think she's sincere and really truly likes him.

Well, off to fix some dinner! Night.
