I have been wanting to paint this brown chair that Kinley uses at the new Pottery Barn table in our playroom. I only bought the table and one blue chair from PB because that is the only chair they had. Luckily, we had this one already and it fits perfectly. I just wanted it a different color than that ugly plain stained brown. I decided to grab a can of gloss spray paint at Walmart yesterday. I bought 'ballet pink' in gloss. It turned out perfect! It coated really well and looks perfect. Just the right shade of pink. Kinley was so thrilled when she woke up and saw it was dry and in the house.
She immediately ran up to the chair and sat down. Austin then of course had to bring his chair right beside hers. I still need to get one more can of paint and go over it again. The bottom of the legs and underneath need another coat.
It just looks perfect! I love that both of the chairs are different and different colors too. A girl chair and a boy chair! ;-)
We stayed home all day today. Kids took naps and then we HAD to get out of the house. I wanted to go by Hobby Lobby and get some mason jars - TOO many ideas from Pinterest! ;-) But, as soon as we got out on the road it started to rain. No thanks, I wasn't about to unload two crabby, needy kids in the rain AND take them in a store shopping. So, we just took a little ride. I needed it to save my sanity. ;-) Kinley has been so incredibly needy and fussy lately. Ugh. It's rough. Like, I can't even sit on the toilet by myself without her screaming that I'm not holding her. Please Lord, let this stage pass quickly.
I ordered pizzas tonight and we stayed in. It's been rainy and chilly out. Tonight has been fun. Kinley has been in the playroom putting all of her bracelets on and prancing around in her high heels.
She's such a little lady! I just love that she is such a girly girl. She walks so fast and so good in those high heels. Way better than I do! It's so fun!!
