super 'bowl' Sunday

Today was super! Not only was it super bowl Sunday, it was super because Nana watched the kids while Doc and I had a whole afternoon to ourselves. It was so great!!

We went to have lunch at P.F. Changs. We both love that restaurant, but it isn't a restaurant we want to deal with the kids and try and enjoy a meal. Whenever we have the opportunity to dine out without the kids we always choose a place we wouldn't take them. Since becoming a mom, the one thing I miss is being able to enjoy eating out. It's tough with a 1 1/2 year old!

Then, we did a little shopping at TJ Maxx - my favorite! And of course it is Sunday, we did our grocery shopping at Sam's and Super Target. It was so much fun just enjoying the day with each other. I miss those days. But, I was sure ready to get home and see my babies too!

We arrived home around 6:00 - we quickly unloaded all of the groceries and I started the pot of chili and Nana put together the 7 layer dip. She makes the best dang dip! I can't ever get mine to taste as good as hers. Talk about addicting too. ugh!

We had a big pot of chili and made chili cheese dogs and had 7 layer dip. It was perfect!

Oh my goodness that seven layer dip is addicting!! I hope that you all had one fun Super Bowl Sunday. We've had such a wonderful time with Nana being here. The kids are in heaven. Austin is even calling Nana, "Nana Mommy". He said, "Nana is my Mommy." Of course, Nana lets him sleep in her bed with her every night. He is LOVING that. :-)

Kinley is Nana's little side kick. She loves being with her Nana too. Nana is fun, she reads books, plays in the playroom with them, and even takes them on long walks and plays outside in the freezing cold!

We have no plans tomorrow, which is wonderful. Just a couple of errands to run. We will probably enjoy hanging out at the house and relaxing. Tuesday is school, and that means 'girls day out'. We already have plans for some shopping and sushi that day! ;-)

Papa - we are ready for you and Nana to be here for good. Can you please start looking for a house in Austin?! :-)
